Nationwide Boiler Inc. has successfully completed a boiler project for a leading food producer in California, meeting critical steam capacity needs and strict emissions performance standards. The system passed formal compliance source testing with outstanding results, reinforcing Nationwide Boiler’s reputation for delivering proven and effective ultra-low NOx solutions that meet California’s rigorous regulations as well as those emerging across the country.
This equipment supplied includes a custom 300 HP, 150 psig Hurst firetube boiler equipped with an Oilon ultra-low NOx burner. The system achieved exceptional performance with average NOx emissions of just 3.1 ppm and less than 2 ppm CO output (corrected to 3% O₂), well below regulatory thresholds. A 3:1 turndown ratio was verified, and further enhancements are underway to reach a 4:1 turndown for even greater efficiency and operational flexibility. This installation not only stabilized the facility’s aging steam infrastructure but also set a new benchmark for clean combustion in food processing.
