Towards a cleaner future together with our customers

In the energy sector, the biggest turning point in industrial history is under way, when, in addition to energy prices, the direction of its production is guided by energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. Reducing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions is inevitable, and it will change the whole society and energy sector in many ways. In addition to slowing down global warming, another major ongoing change is improving air quality in large cities by reducing emissions from energy use.

For decades Oilon has done long-term work in developing cleaner combustion technology. In recent years, we have focused on the combustion technology of natural gas and on reduction of emissions in our development work. It is easy to state that our investment has paid off. A good example is our success in China, which requires the lowest combustion emissions in the world right after California.  However, China differs from California in that the low emission levels can not be achieved there at the expense of efficiency. In combustion technology, we also have long experience in solutions for the utilization of renewable bio oils and gases. Due to stricter emission requirements, we are forced to continue developing, and we at Oilon respond eagerly to this challenge.

In the future, the heat pumps will play a very important role in heating and cooling. One leading energy company from the Nordic countrieshas estimated that the heat pumps and renewable surplus electricity will produce most of its district heating already in 2050. We at Oilon have anticipated this trend already some twenty years ago when we brought heat pumps into our product family. Ever since, we have developed new products for ground source heating and various waste heat recovery applications. Doing pioneering work is not always easy, and now we are delighted to see our efforts producing results.

We will continue to invest in new markets, product development and product quality improvement. At the moment, we are also developing new, more efficient forms of business and data collection in order to serve our customers even better.

I want to thank all of our customers, for without your help we would not be here now. I hope that also in the future we can develop the energy industry with you to be even more clean and sustainable.

The superiority of fluidized bed combustion

The world’s largest operating fluidized bed boiler is located in Poland in the Lagisza power plant, which opened in 2009. The burners of this boiler are Oilon’s mark. The title of the world’s largest fluidized bed boiler will move to Samcheok power plant South Korea in 2014, where Oilon will deliver 64 pcs start-up burners.
